Our Generation Vol.19 Fall Fun

This might be our busiest fall yet. We've had some pretty nice weather and we're happy to say that we've spent a great deal of time outside.

The hills are alive with the Sound of Music at Wolf Trap! We attended the concert with the Fosters and sang along to our favorite tunes, picnicked and danced.

Bernadette came back for another school year at Georgetown. Ben and Mia liked running up and down the halls of her new dorm.

Mia started soccer class on Mommy's birthday. What a great way to start the day. She arrived just in time for the Brit-Am instruction from Coach Steve and Coach Mark. We've been enjoying the lessons as it has helped Mia build confidence, soccer skills and helped with listening to directions. Plus, little bro Ben has taken a liking to it as well. Coach Mark let's him "play" with the big kids and he kicks goals as good as the rest of them.

Some evenings are spent playing dress up with friends while the rest of us watch football.

Mia and Ben sure love coloring and learning. Here Ben figured out how to open up all the markers and surprisingly was rather neat about it. Mia is really into spelling and sounding out letters. We noticed she was playing with the refrigerator magnets and then after a while she called out to us to point out that she had spelled her first and last name. What a smarty pants!

Ben is growing, growing, growing and is now 34 3/4 in. long and still weighing in at 24lbs. His coordination is that of a two year old (says the doctor). He loves to talk and is adding phrases such as "those are mine", "I want dat" and "Oh Man!" into his repertoire.

Mia always plays "school" at home and reads to her "kids", role plays and spells words. She's really into trying to find out what time it is, helping around the house by picking out breakfast or snacks for Ben. When Mommy drops the kids off at daycare, Mia always helps Ben wash his hands, set up his breakfast and empty and hang up his backpack. What a sweet big sis!

Our Generation Vol. 2 No. 18 Abi and Tata come to Town

Let's hear it for Abi and Tata coming to visit! We had so much fun with them. Abi and Tata came to help daddy with the kids while mommy headed back to work. Some of what we did was go to the College Park Air Museum, hang out at the park, attend a National's game, visit the Iwo Jima Memorial and play at home.

Ben just loved hanging with the guys on the porch.

Mia loved snugglin' with Abi whenever she could.

A visit to the park is always so nice (especially when Mommy could sneak away from setting up her classroom and have a picnic lunch with everyone).

Hey Batter Batter... SWING! Tata is coaching Ben how to hit.

Summer isn't summer until you take your shirt off!

A night at the ballpark is a great way to close out a long, fun, beautiful summer.

Thanks for visiting Abi and Tata!
